Born and bred as a country girl in Dunnstown, Colleen returned to Ballarat in 2018 to join Saines Lucas Solicitors, as the firm’s Senior Solicitor in Property, Estates and Commercial Law.

Colleen completed her legal studies in 2010 having undertaken a double degree, Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws graduating with first class honours in Law.  Colleen’s dedication and commitment to succeed has been demonstrated in her legal career.  Prior to joining Saines Lucas Solicitors, Colleen worked with several Melbourne city-based law firms servicing high end clients involving Property and Succession Law.

Colleen’s experience in Property Law has involved providing legal advice and management of the basic conveyance, subdivisions, terms contracts, rent-to-buy agreements through to complex off the plan sales contracts, broad acre and green acre sales, commercial, retail and farming leases, leasing disputes and represented clients in mediations with the Small Business Commissioner and VCAT.  As head of the Commercial Department at Saines Lucas, Colleen is also responsible for managing the Conveyance team in conjunction with her role in providing legal advice to clients and management of Wills, Powers of Attorneys, Guardianship applications, Estate matters and Family Provision Claims.

With an easy going country style approach and an understanding of the needs of both grassroots clients and high end commercial clients Colleen is a technical lawyer, yet very approachable and dedicated to providing value for money legal advice, client focused service and going the extra mile to get the job done.
